Bicycle/ E-Bike Overhaul

Every 1 to 2 years

A bicycle overhaul entails a comprehensive examination and refurbishment of key components. This includes disassembling the bike, cleaning and inspecting parts such as the drivetrain, bearings, and frame. Worn-out components like the chain, cassette, and bottom bracket may be replaced. Adjustments are made to optimize gear shifting and brake performance. The goal is to enhance the bike’s overall functionality and extend its lifespan.

Bicycle Tune-Up

Every 6 months to a year

A bicycle tune-up involves minor adjustments and maintenance to optimize performance. Tasks typically include checking and adjusting tire pressure, lubricating the chain, and inspecting the brakes and gears. Tightening bolts, aligning wheels, and assessing overall functionality are part of the process. While a tune-up doesn’t involve major component replacements, it focuses on fine-tuning existing parts for a smoother and more efficient ride. It’s a preventative measure to address minor issues before they become significant problems.

James Ledingham

Bicycle mechanic, Small office, home office and website support. Bicycle mechanic, Small office, home office and website support.

As a second generation computer geek, a bicycle mechanic, and a website support professional, I have been tinkering and working professionally with computers and bicycles in one way or another all my life. For me, these things have been a career as well as an endlessly pleasurable hobby.
I discovered my love of bicycles in high school and never lost it. My bicycle mechanic experience includes Tempe Bicycle, Bicycle Wheelers, Landis Cyclery, Frank the Welder, and Adventure Bicycle, and I also volunteered for a local bicycle charity.
My computer systems experience includes working for many years in hospitals, schools, and technical support call centers.
I have been exploring website creation and networking since the beginning of the internet, and have several years of professional web experience. I am comfortable in any web environment. However, Godaddy is where most of my internet services are invested.
Whether I am working as a bicycle mechanic, a computer systems repairer, or working on websites, I love helping people get the most out of their experiences.
